About

It is apparent that most of us, at least those who live in our consumer society, seem to be chasing in the wrong direction.

We seek happiness in things and money and not in ourselves and experiences.

There is a rush to consume more and more as we spend money in the pursuit of happiness.

At the same time we have become ever more self obsessed. (Insert selfie here)

As I write this in July 2017, Oxfam tell us that the richest 8 people in the world have the same net worth as the poorest half of the population.

In 2014 it was 85.

In the twenty first century consumerism equates 8 = 3,500,000,000

If we stop chasing after the emperor’s new clothes, and instead focus our energies on finding longer lasting answers to our difficulties, we just might be able to solve the world’s problems as well as our own

Living deliberately will not only help us to be happier but will also make the world a better place.

Is that too much to wish for?
